Darrouzett Masonic Building.

100 yr old building -- broken and empty.

Rachael Bradley Jett & her husband Ryan, have been remodeling this building for 5 years.  With the intention of turning it into a community center for the youth.

All while:

  • Starting "Lipscomb County Robotics" (Non-profit that teaches kids programming and robotics)
  • Being our EMT
  • Being involved with Boy Scouts, Dance, The "Village Improvement Program" and so much more.

Rachael self-funded this project. And is not the type to ask for help.

That's just how blue-collar people are.  You have to surprise them with help.

So that's what we are doing here.  Donate to the go fund and/or like - share - spread the word on these social media.

#DarrouzettMasonicBuilding

This is the story of how a nearly 100-year-old building in Darrouzett, Texas, is being brought back to life. What was once a crumbling, abandoned structure is now a beacon of hope for our small town, thanks to the hard work of Rachel and Ryan Jett, their family, and friends.

This building isn’t just being restored—it’s being transformed into a place where kids can learn, grow, and explore their potential. It’s home to the Lipscomb County Robotics Non-Profit Organization, teaching kids programming, robotics, and technology skills.

The building will also feature:

  • A dance studio to inspire creativity.
  • A community classroom for education and events.
  • A library for sharing knowledge.
  • An ATM (we don’t have a bank or ATM here)
  • A third space waiting to be filled with more possibilities!

This project is about more than saving a building; it’s about investing in our kids and the future of our community. You can help us complete this dream!

💡 Donate today to support this incredible transformation. If you can’t donate, please share this post and help us spread the word. Together, we can make a difference.

Introduction

This is how she got started on this project.  And a little reason why.

IMO, and many other residents opinions, it's because shes awesome.

Front Room | (this is the part the GoFundMe is for).

The GFM we setup is not enough for the whole project.  But it is enough for tho complete this front room.

This will be home to a community classroom, and will provide an ATM (we don't have one in Darrouzett).

Upstairs | Dance Studio

This large room will be used as a dance studio (yet another community organization she is affiliated with).

This will give our children an avenue to get exercise and express themselves through the art of dance.

Upstairs | EMT Apartment

Rachael is an EMT (yet another service Rachael provides) here in Darrouzett.

This apartment is used when she is on-call.

Texas Technician has not helped with this project.  This is all the Jetts.  They are doing the good works.

I moved here 5 years ago.  Met Rachael about the time she bought this building.

I've never helped with this project.  But have been privilege to the process.

Waiting on the post office to open.  I saw the date 1926 on the building.  And it hit me that they could get the front room finished before the 100 year anniversary.

So, I sat up a GoFundMe with the intention of funding the finishing of the front room.

Let's give it a go.  Help us, help Rachael, bring life back into this tiny town!
